Warhorse Studios posted a video giving an overview of the newest DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance called From the Ashes after it was teased earlier this month. The video features Creative Director Daniel Vavra and Senior Designer Prokop Jirsa discussing some of the updates players can expect when the DLC launches next month.

After listening to feedback from players, instead of just giving them the option of owning a house in the game, players will be able to build entire villages. In order to stay as historically accurate as possible, the option to govern a village will come with a quest, and while buildings come with different perks, players will also be responsible to make judgments that will have different consequences in the game.

Vavra also states in the video that this is not the only DLC to be released this year, and more will be coming later.

They also touch on the Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s Hardcore Mode that was released a few days ago that turns the game into a true survival roleplaying game. When playing in Hardcore Mode, there will be no autosaves, no health or stamina bar, no fast travel, and many other obstacles for players to overcome. Unusual “perks” are also available to make the game even harder. Players will have to choose at least two when they start a new game in Hardcore Mode, like Haemophilia or Numbskull, and finishing the game in this state will unlock new achievements.

You can check out the entire overview below. While the From the Ashes DLC does not have an exact release date, it will be available in July after the Steam Sales are over. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
