Bandai Namco has given fans their first look at the upcoming Kid Goku DLC in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The new gameplay trailer gives us a brief look at some of the character’s special techniques and his ultimate attack. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below.

When it comes to detail, Arc System Works has been doing a tremendous job recreating each and every lovable hero and villain in the Dragon Ball series. With Kid Goku, from the noncanonical Dragon Ball GT, the team has done the series justice once again.

Kid Goku starts the trailer with a Super Saiyan 3 Kamehameha wave, followed by some crazy looking combos with his iconic power pole weapon. To top it all off, we get a brief look at Goku’s new ultimate attack; which has him transform into Super Saiyan 4 before kindly shoving a Dragon Fist through his opponent’s stomach, akin to the same technique Kid Goku used in the original Dragon Ball series on King Piccolo.

We also get a brief look at Kid Goku’s stats. The character will excel at speed and technique according to the trailer. Since he’s a tiny child, it’s unsurprising that he’d have lower reach compared to some other fighters in the game. His energy and power sit somewhere in the middle.

Kid Goku is the fifth DLC fighter announced for the second season of content in Dragon Ball FighterZ. We first got Jiren and Videl earlier this year. It was also announced that Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and Dragon Ball Super’s version of Broly will be added to the game at a later date. You can pick up the season pass for $24.99 or individual character packs for $4.99.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
