What a conference. From beginning (and I’m talking the Pre-Show) to the very end. So the question remains — is this just “a great Sony press conference” or “the greatest Sony press conference”?

The Pre-Show was a wonder to behold, with game-after-game being announced. We saw an official date for Knack II, along with a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita reveal of Undertale with a physical collector’s edition. And that isn’t even mentioning Matterfall and Ni no Kuni II.

Ignoring the beginning technical hiccup, the game started strong with a trailer for the standalone Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, moving to DLC of Horizon Zero Dawn and an extended gameplay clip for Day’s Gone.

In a wicked surprise announcement, Monster Hunter World — a first for the series on PlayStation 4. Then BluePoint wowed with the (rumored) Shadow of the Colossus remaster, a game that looks utterly stunning.

Sony kept PlayStation VR owners in mind, with announcements for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Star Child, The Inpatient, and Moss. So don’t fret if you didn’t think your virtual reality headset wasn’t getting enough love.

The biggest heavy-hitters of the show was the insane gameplay seen in the upcoming God of War game, Detroit: Become Human which featured a very extended trailer, and Spider-Man gameplay that looks out of this world.

Of course, the PlayStaion would be nothing without its normal staples. Destiny 2 got its time in the lime-light with PlayStation exclusive gear. Meanwhile Call of Duty: WWII made a strong showing with an intense new multiplayer trailer.

There was a whole lot of PlayStation on stage this past hour, and most of DualShockers staff is wooed. But how do you feel about it? Did Sony do enough this year to keep the hardcore fanbase happy? How does this stack up to Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference? What was the best announcement from Sony Interactive Entertainment today? Let us know in the comments.
