During Take-Two’s financial conference call for the fiscal year ended on March 31st, Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick announced a new sales milestone for Grand Theft Auto V.

We heard that the game has passed 95 million units shipped as of March 31st, 2018, following the launch of the Premium Online Edition.

As usual, Grand Theft Auto Online exceeded the publisher’s expectations during the past fiscal quarter and remains its biggest contributor for recurring consumer spending (Basically microtransactions for those who aren’t familiar with the business terminology).

The previous shipment milestone, at over 90 million units, was announced only in February, while another at 85 million units was unveiled in November. This means that the game has been selling roughly five million units every three months, which is bonkers.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was initially released in September 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360, followed by a launch on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014, and on PC in April 2015.
