action, Adventure, Genshin Impact, Guides, mobile, Originals, PC, PS4, PS5, RPG, Switch

One of the biggest mysteries of the ongoing Midsummer Island Adventure event in Genshin Impact is the island protected by a giant energy barrier, in the form of a water bubble, located at the south west of the new map.

With the launch of Phase 4 of the event, you will be soon able to access the interior of the bubble, and this is where the answers regarding the event’s Dodo-King mystery lie.

Genshin Impact – How to access the water bubble island

First, the island will only be accessible once you’ve cleared the main quests of Phases 1 to 3 of the Midsummer Island Adventure event. Clearing the quests is incredibly easy. This is Genshin Impact we’re talking about, so you have concise explanations in-game regarding how to clear these quests. And your objectives are always marked on the map. If you’re too lazy to read that, I can’t help.

One thing you might have trouble with though is the quest of Phase 3, as it includes a story battle against new boss Maguu Kenki. The story version of the samurai puppet boss from Inazuma is pretty easy to beat, but you can check the guide we previously published for some tips.

Once you’ve cleared these quests, now, you’ll have to wait until the final phase of the event unlocks. If you’re playing on the Asia, HK, or Europe servers of Genshin Impact, the phase has already unlocked as of now. However, if you’re playing on the North America server, it will unlock at 4 AM ET on June 17. Which is in a few hours as I’m writing this, click here for a countdown.

Once phase 4 launches, a new story quest will trigger, where you will most notably see what’s hidden under the giant water bubble barrier, and learn the truth behind Dodo-King and the event as a whole.

Spoilers for the event below

If you’ve been following my posts, you should have a pretty good idea of what’s happening already, as turns out, we correctly predicted the identity of Dodo King.

Seeing the event unfold and finally getting to see what lies under the water bubble island was quite fun. What do you think of 1.6 so far? You can always hit me up on Twitter @A_iyane07.

Genshin Impact will add the Inazuma region and a new banner for either Ayaka or Yoimiya on July 21 with the next Version, titled either 1.7 or 2.0.
