Freezing Game Launching in Japan; First Characters Revealed

Android, Creek & River, Freezing extension, iOS, News, Originals, Platforms

Waifu lovers out there may be familiar with Freezing, the sci-fi manga franchise serialized on Comic Valkyrie and written by Dall-Young Lim and illustrated by Kwang-Hyun Kim, which sparked two anime series in 2011 and 2013.

Turns out that it’s getting a game titled Freezing Extension in Japanby the Japanese publisher Creek & River. The game has been available for a while in Korea, but a Japanese release might make it a bit more accessible for the western audience.

Considering the nature of the manga and anime, you probably won’t be surprised at all to learn that it’ll be a gacha-based free-to-play RPG for iOS and Android, and it’s releasing in Japan this summer.

Today the publisher revealed the first characters and their inevitably-alluring artwork. First and foremost we get the bespectacled protagonist Satellizer El Bridget, followed by Baek Seol Hee, Rana Linchen, Chiffon Fairchild, and Elizabeth Mably. There’s a waifu for every taste. Of course, considering the gacha nature of the title, there’s probably going to be a veritable army of them.

Considering that the manga is really good, I’m going to keep an eye on this. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy a brief trailer and the artwork below.
