Fortnite Update & Servers Down Today (June 22) – v17.10 Patch Notes

The Fortnite servers will be taken down today (June 22) for a short period of time in order to launch the brand new v17.10 update. The update is expected to fix plenty of bugs, and allow players to access the mothership that has been floating above the map since the season began.

Fortnite Servers Down (June 22)

According to the official Fortnite Twitter account, the servers will be down on June 22nd at the following times:

  • 12:30 AM PT
  • 3:30 AM ET
  • 8:30 AM BST

Players can expect the downtime to last for anywhere between 1 and 2 hours. DualShockers will be updating this article as soon as the Fortnite servers come back online.

v17.10 Update & Patch Notes

It looks like the latest Fortnite update will give players access to the Mothership that has been floating above the island ever since Season 7 began. We’re not too sure how exactly that will work, but as soon as downtime ends we’re sure to find out!

As well as gaining access to the mothership in the latest update, according to Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, the following issues will likely be fixed in the v17.10 update:

General

  • Item Shop update notice not clearing

Battle Royale

  • Taking damage through cars while in motion
  • Ability to change loot pools in Battle Lab temporarily disabled
  • Character Collection Book incompletable due to missing entries
  • Saucers may become inoperable if a beamed-up object falls on it
  • One-handed pickaxes continue to perform extra swings

Creative

  • Hud Controller Device join in progress
  • Images are cut off in the Discover tab
  • Player can encounter infinite loading screen when flying out of Island
  • Asset memory size not showing in pre-place mode on XL islands

Save The World

  • Melee hits aren’t registering on Melee Weapons for PC

Patch Notes

Unfortunately as of writing, the only patch notes surrounding the update come from the Fortnite Status Twitter account which state:

“A new surprise descends. A way inside the Mothership? As a reminder, marking the end of the competitive pre-season, Arena Hype Points will be reset with the release of v17.10.”
