Fortnite Servers Down & Update v17.30 Today (August 3) – Downtime & Patch Notes

Epic Games has officially announced update v17.30 for Fortnite, and it’s set to arrive today (August 3). Following some short server downtime, a new patch will be deployed for players to download before they can jump back into the game.

The short server downtime will be all worthwhile though because when v17.30 goes live, a brand new weapon will be available for players to get their hands on. Check out all of the details on v17.30 right here in this article, including the full patch notes.

Fortnite v17.30 – Server Downtime Schedule

Thanks to the official Fortnite Status Twitter Account, we know that the Fortnite servers will be taken offline at the following times:

  • 10:30PM PT (August 2)
  • 1:30AM ET (August 3)
  • 6:30AM BST (August 3)

Unfortunately, Epic Games did not detail how long the Fortnite servers will be down. But the downtime for new updates does usually last between 1 and 2 hours. We will update this article as soon as the Fortnite servers are back online.

Fortnite v17.30 – Update & Patch Notes (August 3)

As of writing, Epic Games have not released the official patch notes for v17.30. But what we do know is that the new Grab-Itron weapon will go live as soon as downtime commences. The official description of the new weapon states “Grab things and throw them at other things! You can also press reload to rotate the object you are holding”.

Fans can also expect plenty of leaks to arrive as the new game files in v17.30 are sure to hold plenty of details surrounding the upcoming Ariana Grande concert.

Plus, the exclusive Suicide Squad skin, Bloodsport, will be available in the Item Store later today.
