Some Fortnite players may have been affected by an issue on December 27 following the release of a new build of the game. The issue would either result in players losing their entire inventory, their Storm Shield storage, or not receiving V-Bucks that they purchased with real money.

If you’re a player who has been affected, the development team has promised a slew of rewards to compensate for the losses in the form of items, V-Bucks and more. They’re currently looking further into the Storm Shield storage issue and will be updating players at a later time. Furthermore, players who weren’t given any V-Bucks after purchasing some will be given an equal or greater amount.

Also, it’s worth noting that the team is interested in doing an additive restore on players’ lost items in the future. They did not give a specific timeframe as to when this will be implemented but Creative Director, Darren Sugg, said that “we will make it happen.”

Fortnite: Battle Royale is currently one of the most popular free-to-play ways to experience the Battle Royale genre. The game is available now in Early Access on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you’re a Fortnite player who has been experiencing issues, you can contact the Player Support representatives on the game’s official website.
