The UFOs have officially arrived in Fortnite, but the fun doesn’t stop there. The Cosmic Summer Celebrations Event is arriving in Fortnite as a two-week-long Summer Event filled with quests, rewards, and more.
With the theme of Fortnite Season 7 being “Invasion”, it’s only right that the slogan of this year’s Summer Event is “Welcome Party”. Could this be pointing towards further Alien events taking place on the island?

Fortnite – Chapter 2: Season 7
Season 7 of Fortnite Chapter 2 kicked off on June 8 with a brand new theme known as “Invasion”. The Battle Royale map saw plenty of changes, with a giant UFO now hovering above the island, as well as new POIs.
Players were also treated to a brand new Battle Pass with 100 Tiers of “Invasion” themed cosmetics.
Battle Stars made a triumphant return as the new way to level up your alien themed Battle Pass, along with new flyable UFOs. But with players now two weeks into the Season, what’s next?
Fortnite v17.10 Update
The first update of Season 7 is expected to arrive on Tuesday, June 22nd. No official confirmation has been given by Epic Games as to what will arrive in the update, but we do know that it will include the brand new Cosmic Summer Celebrations Event.
Fortnite – Cosmic Summer Celebrations
Fortnite’s official Twitter account announced that the Cosmic Summer Celebrations event will kick off on June 22nd at the following times:
- 6AM PT
- 9AM ET
- 2PM BST
According to Epic Games, the event will take place at the Believer Beach POI on the Battle Royale map. It was also announced that the event will include new quests, new rewards, and a whole lot of fun. Details of the quests and rewards have yet to be revealed.
To participate in the event, simply head to Believer Beach at the aforementioned times and expect more details to be revealed once the new update arrives!
