Today Sega released new images its upcoming Fist of the North Star action-adventure game Hokuto Ga Gotoku.
We get direct feed versions of the artwork of the first five characters revealed for the game (in addition to protagonist Kenshiro).
We get to see Kenshiro’s own fiancee Yuria, who was kidnapped by Shin and then was believed dead. Shin himself, master of Hokuto’s rival martial art, Nanto is also present. Not only he took Yuria, but he is the one who gave Kenshiro the scars on his chest.
Kisana is the chief of the city of Eden. Listening to the voice of the people, she is trying hard to become a fine ruler like her father, who is the one who founded the city. The citizens call her “the saint.” Jagure believes that Kenshiro is a villain after having seen his overwhelming power. He is imprisoned with the hero in Eden’s dungeon, but he will gradually come to accept him.
Kyohou is a man of great power and evil, who gathered an army bearing his own name by enslaving and plundering. He keeps attacking Eden in the attempt to conquer the city.
On top of that, we also get a glimpse on the city of Eden itself with a new screenshot.
The game will use the Yakuza Kiwami engine with the addition of a specific Toon Shader, and it will release in 2018 in Japan exclusively for PS4.
Recently, Sega also revealed the future of the Yakuza series (divided in two games, Yakuza Online and Shin Yakuza), and Yakuza Kiwami 2. You can also check out Hokuto Ga Gotoku‘s original announcement.
A few days ago, the western arm of the publisher issued a survey asking fans if they’re interested in the new game.
