Early this morning, Square Enix hosted its opening keynote at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Paris. Players got the chance to see tons (and I mean tons) of new content coming with the latest expansion of the MMORPGTo start, the expansion received a new cinematic teaser trailer that seems to set the overall tone of this expansion, not to mention it contains great visuals. Whether you’re a fan of the MMORPG or not, the trailer’s definitely worth checking out down below. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will go live on July 2, 2019.

A collector’s edition of Shadowbringers was also revealed that will be available to purchase for $199.99. If you’re only interested in a digital version of the collector’s edition, it’ll be available on all platforms for $59.99 without all of the physical goodies. However, if you do go with the more expensive version, you’ll get a special art box for the game, an incredibly detailed Dark Knight figure, an art book, a sticker cling, unique playing cards, and some digital in-game items.

Players who opt-in for either version will receive an exclusive gunblade weapon based on the one used by Squall in Final Fantasy VIII, a special Grani mount, and a minion based on Fran from Final Fantasy XII. You can check out screenshots of everything that’ll be included below. Players who’d just like to purchase the standard version can get it for $39.99.

Outside of this cinematic trailer, we also received new details on tons of other content like the new Gunbreaker job and Viera race. Furthermore, we got to see our first glimpse at a special Nier: Automata themed raid from Yoko Taro as well as a look some new areas we’ll be able to explore once Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers arrives. This will be the third expansion for Final Fantasy XIV and is set after the end of Stormblood, the game’s second expansion. It’s certainly shaping up to be one of the game’s most exciting.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will be available for PC, PS4, and Mac on July 2. You can try the MMO now on any of the previously mentioned platforms.
