In less than a month, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster will finally be coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. To promote the long awaited port of this classic Final Fantasy remaster, Square Enix has decided to partner with Kung Fu Tea and offer an exclusive tea as well as a Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X giveaway.

On the Kung Fu Tea side of things,  Kung Fu Tea’s Grape Cream has been recreated as Tidus & Yuna’s Grape Elixir and is available at every store location. Buying this drink at Kung Fu Tea will also net players a sticker featuring art from Tetsuya Nomura. Finally, the pair will also be holding a daily sweepstakes on social media where players can enter to win a Nintendo Switch or Xbox One X with a custom design based on Final Fantasy X. Kung Fu Tea’s Marketing and PR Lead Mai Shi went on to discuss the partnership a bit further:

“We’re extremely excited to partner up with Square Enix and believe that our Kung Fu Masters in the gaming community will truly enjoy Tidus & Yuna’s Grape Elixir. We hope that this drink will keep gamers refreshed throughout their unforgettable journey in the World of Spira and Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster.”

This is only the latest food-based promotion for Square Enix. To highlight the upcoming release of Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy!, the publisher partnered with Dippin’ Dots to give away things like ice cream, lunch boxes, and a Nintendo Switch console. I’m curious to see if Square Enix plans on keep up this trend of food based promotions with future title and what companies it’ll decide to partner with next. This isn’t Kung Fu Tea’s first foray into video game cross-promotion either as they collaborated with ArenaNet to do one for Guild Wars 2 last year.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster is currently available for PC, PS4, and PS Vita and will finally be coming to Nintendo Switch on April 16. You can see the Nintendo Switch port in action for yourself below.
