As you all probably already aware of, Fallout 76 got off to a rocky start and has been ripe with controversy since its November 2018 release. Many are hoping that Wild Appalachia, the name Bethesda has given to the game’s various Spring content updates, will make the game better. Today, we learned that the start of this this content roll-out is coming one day later than expected.

When Bethesda Game Studios released the 2019 roadmap for Fallout 76 back in February, it promised that the wild Wild Appalachia updates would begin on March 12. Today, the developers took to the official Fallout twitter to say that “we just need a little more time to brew” the update, pushing Wild Appalachia’s release to March 13.

In the grand scheme of things, this update’s delay is fairly minute, though it was announced fairly late. I’d rather Bethesda take the time to polish this update and make the content is the best it can be as they roll it out, even if the same can’t be said for how they handled the day one version of Fallout 76. Hopefully, Wild Appalachia can escape the controversy several previous updates have fallen under for breaking things as it tries to fix other issues.

As for what Wild Appalachia adds, it is likely the most significant content update Fallout 76 has seen yet. Over the course of this Spring, it will add new quests, a legendary vendor, brewing and distilling mechanics, in-game cameras and vending machines for C.A.M.P.s, the Fasnacht Parade seasonal event, and a Survival Mode. Release dates for all of his content can be seen in the tweet above.

Fallout 76 is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If the new content Wild Appalachia brings to the table is finally enticing you to pick this game after its tumultuous launch, you can do so on Amazon.
