This past week, Code 51: Mech Arena was released for PlayStation VR. While players were having fun battling mechs in a wasteland, many were complaining about not being able to disable the dynamic vision mask that was originally implemented to prevent motion sickness. Many complaints called the mask “blinders” and claimed that it severely blocked their peripheral vision during gameplay.

In response to these complaints, publisher DeerVR tweeted on Friday that an update is now available that will allow players to disable the mask when they hold the left thumbstick. DeerVR received thanks from players for the speedy update, and several YouTubers posted gameplay videos highlighting how much of an improvement it was:

The update also allows players to toggle between head rotation mode and right stick rotation mode when they hold down the right thumbstick.

Code 51: Mech Arena is available for PlayStation VR. Right now, you can get get a new-release 10% discount in the PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Plus members will get an additional 10% discount on top of that.
