If you were hoping to hope in with one other friend in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode earlier this morning, then you would have found yourself out of luck. Earlier today, Treyarch sneakily removed the Duos playlist from the battle royale mode and, understandably, fans weren’t too happy.

According to Treyarch, the developer removed the mode in order to “encourage gameplay in other playlists,” which is generally done when people gravitate almost exclusively towards one thing. While I, of course, don’t have access to the actual game statistics, I find it a bit hard to believe that that is the sole reason why the playlist was removed. Nevertheless, Treyarch realized their mistake and confirmed that the playlist will be added back into the game tomorrow morning during (presumably) a hotfix tomorrow…at least on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players will apparently have to wait a bit longer to get it back…for some reason.

As previously stated, Duos was removed during an update today, which also saw the addition of Infected mode, new World League skill divisions, and more.

In other Black Ops 4 news, a couple of weeks back, the game’s Twitch Prime Customization Bundle was officially revealed and right before that, a brand new Zombies map was added to the game called Ancient Evil.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If you want to pick up the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
