Dragon Quest Builders 2 will include online multiplayer where you and up to three other players can build, travel, and battle throughout the game’s large overworld.
To travel through the world quickly, players can use the game’s buggy-like vehicle. All players will be able to fit inside this vehicle making traversal a breeze. Additionally, if you just want to show off your game world, you can set it so that players cannot break, or place blocks.
Builders will be able to communicate online via gestures if voice chat isn’t available to you. You’ll also be able to differentiate yourself from other players using the dresser furniture where you can customize your character’s own unique look. Multiplayer will definitely add a whole new dimension to Dragon Quest Builders 2 as four builders will allow for much more intricate and bigger projects.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. As of right now, we’ve been given no details on a potential localization of the title, but it will be releasing this year on December 20 in Japan.
The first Dragon Quest Builders game is available now in the west on a whole slew of platforms including the PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch. You can read our thoughts on the Nintendo Switch version if you haven’t already. I personally, picked the game up on the PS Vita and fell in love with it.
