Dragon Quest Builders 2 Will Be Coming West in 2019

Nintendo announced in their latest financial results that Square Enix’s Dragon Quest builders 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch in the west in 2019. It’s safe to assume the game will release on PlayStation 4 as well, just like in Japan.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 has the player take control of a hero or heroine who gets stranded on an empty island. The player must find materials to build a home and town on the island, meet new characters and party members, and explore the neighboring islands.

The game also has a very exciting farming system that really speaks to Story of Seasons and Rune Factory fans like me. There’s also a really good-looking online multiplayer mode, allowing four players to play together. You can read about the online multiplayer mode here and here.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 should also get a demo in Japan soon. The game releases in Japan on December 20th.
