As reported by Gematsu (originally appearing on Japanese user Ryokutya2089’s blog), it appears the flow of new characters into Dragon Ball FighterZ will continue. The latest issue of V-Jump has announced that Goku in his Ultra Instinct form from Dragon Ball Super will be joining DBFZ . This will bring the current count of Gokus up to six, seven if you count Bardock who looks like edgy-Goku with a scar.

No real information about the character was mentioned in the article, but it promised that we would be getting more information soon. Details are planned to be provided about this new silver-haired version at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals that are being held on February 8th and 9th in France.

FighterZ was one of my favorite games of 2019, and the game I spent the most time playing online. My feelings are rather mixed with this announcement. On one hand, it means that the DLC didn’t stop completely with the release of DBS Broly; on the other, the game is already chock-full of Goku versions. I’m sure that UI Goku will be fun to play, but I’d rather get brand new characters that don’t have any representation. Where’s my Master Roshi? And I’m still holding out hope for Farmer with a shotgun and Blue-dog Mayor.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
