A bizarre new Pokémon has been making waves in the community lately through both Pokémon Go and the upcoming release of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch. The mythical Meltan is a liquid metal Pokémon which can be caught in Pokemon Go and transferred to the Switch titles.

A recently posted video from Pokémon’s official YouTube channel shows the charming characters wandering around a kitchen and getting into all sorts of trouble while being observed for research. We see the tiny steel-types swinging from the lampshades, walking vertically along filing cabinets, and playfully tossing a pokéball back and forth between them.

Throughout the trailer the researcher makes notes about the pokémon, mentioning how Meltan can absorb metal into their bodies as they come out of hiding to collect screws and forks from the kitchen table. As more than a dozen Meltan sleep huddled together, their observer finishes by stating that there are still more secrets to be uncovered about this pokémon.

Those who want to discover more about these lovable little critters can do so through Special Research tasks coming to Pokémon Go later this year. To add Meltan to the pokédex, players can send a Pokémon from the app to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! The first time this transfer is completed, players will gain access to a Mystery Box which will allow Meltan to appear within the Switch titles. Once caught, Meltan can then be taken to a Go Park when it can be transferred to Pokémon Go.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android, while Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch from November 16.
