If you’re a fan of fancy-pants controller designs, then this morning, we’ve got you covered. While this is an official Doom Eternal controller from We are Robots, the competition is being run by Bethesda, it’s one you can’t get your hands on unless you’re a resident of New Zeland or Australia…but at least we can look and marvel at it.

The official Australian & New Zealand Twitter account for Bethesda has tweeted out details for the giveaway of a Doom Eternal Xbox One controller that comes with a stand. The controller itself looks insane. It boasts greens and red colors but the most prominent part of the controller is where your palms would go. Rather than a comfy area to rest your hands that’s replaced with silver-looking…prongs? (I can’t think of the word)

The display-stand for the controller is a bloody red and bears an inscription of the demonic language present in Doom Eternal. It addition, the terms, and conditions do detail the state of the controller. It’s noted that the controller has been customized in a way that makes it an ornamental piece intended for display only. However, it does also note, “It is not to be used for gameplay and such use is strictly not recommended. Should the Controller be used for gameplay purposes against this advice, this may result in damage to you or your equipment at the user’s own risk.”

So, how do you stand a chance at winning this? Well, as already explained, you need to be a lawful citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand. If you are, then you just simply follow the Twitter account, Retweet the tweet, and comment with your answer to the question: “What is the best weapon/item in the DOOM Slayer’s arsenal & why?” The competition ends on 25 April 2020.

Doom Eternal is available for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Stadia.
