The Nintendo Switch version of 2016’s DOOM, which was surprisingly revealed during September’s Nintendo Direct alongside Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus for the Switch, released today. To celebrate, Bethesda has released a trailer showcasing some of the title’s violent gameplay on Nintendo’s console handheld hybrid.

The trailer shows gameplay in both handheld and docked mode, and it seems like developers id Software and Panic Button got the Switch port as close as they could to the other versions of the game, even though it is custom-built for the console. You can check out our own video of the game running in handheld mode if you want to see some uninterrupted gameplay on Switch.

DOOM on Nintendo Switch contains the entirety of the single-player campaign present in the other versions, an arcade mode, and all of the game’s multiplayer maps as a separate download. That being said, it may not be the perfect port, as it does suffer from a noticeable hit in graphics and frame-rate. If you want to see DualShockers thinks about the game, you can check out Staff Writer Micheal Ruiz’s impressions of the port.
