Ahead of the impending launch of Battlefield 5 later this month, EA and DICE have now officially revealed the specs that will be needed for those looking to play on PC.

As is normal with these PC requirements, DICE has listed both the ones that will be needed to simply play Battlefield 5 at its most base setting, in addition to listing those that they recommend you should have. Both those minimum specs and the recommended ones are as follows:

Additionally this time around, DICE has also listed the requirements that will be needed for those looking to utilize ray tracing. For those who don’t remember, ray tracing is a new feature that can be used in some of Nvidia’s latest graphics cards and Battlefield 5 is one of the first games on the market to implement the feature. While this setup is far more costly compared to the ones above, it’ll give you the best experience for Battlefield 5 for sure. Here’s what you’ll need to make use of DXR:

Recommended Requirements for DXR

  • Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 7 2700

Hopefully, your current PC setup is enough to allow you to at least run Battlefield 5 at its base settings. If not, you still have a few more days to beef up your own rig before the game launches.
