A reveal trailer from THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games dropped just this morning, giving what some people have been waiting over a decade for–a remake of the 2005 cult classic Destroy All Humans!

It’s scheduled to release sometime in 2020 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Between this announcement and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, it looks like THQ Nordic has taken to pumping out the classics.

The trailer opens as a family watches a news broadcast on alien activity. Set in 1959, the broadcast assures wholesome Americans that any rumors they may have heard about extraterrestrial activity are nothing but communistic propaganda. Right on cue, the lovable little green man Crypto interrupts the program to start singing Rammstein’s Ich Will. Vintage Destroy All Humans! chaos ensues–cow abductions, death rays from flying saucers, and a hypnosis-induced dance party. If you never played the original, this trailer does a good job of expressing the series’ brand of juvenile humor.

Destroy All Humans! is the third of three games THQ Nordic planned to announce since June 4. The other two are Darksiders Genesis and the aforementioned Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated.

The announcement of a Destroy All Humans! remake may not come as a complete surprise to everyone. As reported by Comicbook.com, THQ Nordic teased that a new game in the series would be revealed at E3 2019 during their infamous AMA on 8chan back in February.

No exact release date has been given, but when it is you can find it here at DualShockers.
