After one or two minor hiccups yesterday, Destiny 2 players can now dive right into Season 14, The Season of the Splicer.
Included in this new season is plenty to get stuck into, including a new PVE activity, new story missions, a new raid, weapons, armor, exotics and a new Armor Synthesis system.
There are a few notches to the system, including a range of steps players need to take and a handful of items they need to earn.
With that in mind, here’s how you tackle Armor Synthesis in Destiny 2, including getting Synthweave, Synthstrand and Synthcord.

What is Armor Synthesis?
Armor Synthesis is new to Season 14. It is effectively the concept of taking the style of any armor piece that a player has unlocked and applying it to another piece of armor.
This means that players can rock the looks of their favourite set, while still having the stats from their strongest.
The only caveat is, Exotics can’t be used as part of this process.

What are Synthweave, Synthstrand and Synthcord?
These three items are specific to the Armor Synthesis system and require players to undertake a range of activities.
The items are used as part of the transmog process in which players can help create their new look armor.
Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light, and a Sacred Splicer.

How to Get Destiny 2 Synthweave, Synthstrand and Synthcord and How to Use it.
First of all, players need to locate the returning Ada-1 who is chilling in her usual location not far from the Bazaar.
From there, Ada-1 will give players a mission, which once completed will unlock the Armor Synthesis system.
Players can earn and use the three major items in the following way:
- Synthstrand – Synthstand is effectively a currency. It can be earned by simply killing random enemies throughout the game. Once players have earned 150 Synthstrand, they can approach Ada-1 and trade it for a range of different bounties.
- Synthcord – Synthcord is the reward players earn from completing the above bounties. It can be taken to the loom and changed into the next item, Synthweave.
- Synthweave – Synthweave is ultimately the final piece of the puzzle. After completing the above two steps, players can use their Synthweave to create their desired armor.
