The newest issue of Edge Magazine included a spread on Destiny 2, coming with some juicy new information on the game’s content.

There are over eighty missions and PvE activities to enjoy, and each is substantial in length, challenge, story and reward. There is actually so much new content that at one point the development team realized that they had more content than progression, even if they fixed that afterwards.

Players won’t be able to take their time too much during Nightfall Strikes, since there will be a time limit (an example for one strike is 13 minutes). This used to be a bit of a problem in the first game, in which almost every challenging encounter had one or more ways to cheese it, but it required time. Now players will have to strategize and be efficient.

We also learn that the game’s beta did not have a relevant mechanic that causes enemy elemental shields toe explode when depleted by an energy weapon. In the final game they will explode, damaging all enemies in a certain radius.

If you want to learn more about Destiny 2, you can check out the dates of the PC beta alongside its requirements, and videos showing “The Farm” social space from the recently concluded open beta on PS4 and Xbox One. You can also enjoy a recent trailer showcasing the Crucible.

Activision recently expressed its “tremendous confidence” in the game, and announced that beta and pre-orders surpassed those of the original Destiny in the same period.

Destiny 2 will release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th, while PC players will have to wait until October 24th.
