Festival of the Lost returns to Destiny 2, this time with Amanda Holliday as the host, and will run from October 16 to November 6, 2018.

The last year has changed everything. The Red Legion razed the Last City. Countless Guardians were lost. Despite victories on Mercury and Mars, morale in the Tower is low after the fall of a legend: Cayde-6. This year, death has not passed us by. It has come to stay.

The Tower will be full of lanterns in the shape of engrams and decorated for the Halloween season. Fragmented Souls will be awarded for completing new daily bounties that are used to purchase Festival of the Lost masks, as well as a new Legendary Auto Rifle: the Horror Story.

Max level characters will earn an Ephemeral Engram every time they fill their XP bar, and is added in addition to the Steadfast Engram that is awarded for the same feat. Ephemeral Engrams can also be purchased from Tess Everis in the Tower. Items can also be purchased directly from Tess if you don’t want to roll the dice on Engrams.

During the Festival of the Lost players will be able to access the Haunted Forest where you will have 15 minutes to make your way deeper into the forest. The deeper you go the more difficult the enemies become. The Haunted Forest will be available as a solo player, with friends, or just in general matchmaking.

Lastly, a new questline to avenge Master Ives begins on October 30, 2018 and adds a new “powerful reward for you to earn each week.”
