Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation’s New Event Is All About Ayane; Update 1.10 Released

Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, DMM, Koei Tecmo, Originals, PC

Koei Tecmo and DMM have launched a brand new event on their PC game Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation.

The event is titled “Rivals Event – Targeted Island” and it’s exactly what it says on the tin, a “Rivals”-type event. It means that instead of having to beat increasingly strong opponents, you will be pitched about other players’ teams.

This is good news and bad news. In Rivals events you can pick and choose your opponents, so you can keep winning indefinitely. In normal events, you’ll sooner or later hit a skill ceiling, and you’ll have to either start repeating matches or stop there. On the other hand, here you get rewards only for your overall score and not for each match. There is still a large bunch of V Stones to win, though.

Score rewards are focused on Technique crystals and V Stones, while ranking decently in the overall leaderboard will grant you a SR Tiara for Ayane, Time Stopwatches and, Trend Gacha tickets.

A new gacha has also been introduced, offering the “Papillon Dance” SSR swimsuit for Ayane with a 0.43% rate, and other SSR swimsuits (including Luna’s) for a 0.06%.

While the rates are abysmal as usual, it may be good if you need to unlock Ayane, and unlike Helena’s birthday gacha, this time around V Stones acquired simply by playing the game are eligible.

Last, but not least, we get update 1.10 which includes a new braided hairstyle (you can see it at the top of the post) for Ayane. It can be unlocked at the Venus shop by turning in Ayane-specific items you don’t need. A few more fixes and tweaks have been added, like the display of the number of turns a guest character has left in a match, and some new icons.

Below you can check out the intro to the event, starring Ayane, Luna, and a “mysterious shadow” which is really totally mysterious. If you want to see more about Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, you can check out another recent update that added Luna.

If you want to play the game on your PC (it’s only in Japanese but it’s fairly easy to understand) you can learn how to in our handy guide.
