Over the past year, publisher THQ Nordic has been trying to revitalize the de Blob IP by brining the older games to modern platforms. The original de Blob has since been released across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, while de Blob 2 hit just PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year. That will change soon though, as THQ Nordic has announced that de Blob 2 will be hitting Nintendo Switch on August 28.

For those of you who aren’t aware, a cult has taken over a city and drained its color in de Blob 2, so players must go around repainting the world and defeating enemies in the name of the Color Underground. Overall, this game includes twelve large levels, new power-ups, and local two-player co-op, which should work well on Nintendo Switch.

The game initially launched on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS all the way back in February of 2011, so it makes sense to reintroduce the game on modern platforms, including Nintendo’s hybrid console. de Blob 2 will be available both digitally and physically on Nintendo Switch, and will cost $29.99.

You can check out some screenshots of this version of the game below. de Blob 2 is currently available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, and DS, and will leave its mark on Nintendo Switch on August 28.
