While there are a ton of people who either love or hate Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode Blackout, one thing’s for certain: there’s no denying how transparent Treyarch’s been about changes and issues concerning the mode. In continuing with that spirit, Treyarch’s game design director David Vonderhaar took to Twitter yesterday to discuss some ideas he’s had about Blackout.

Early last week, Treyarch released a brand new, free Blackout map for the game called Alcatraz and so far the move has been seen as a great step in the right direction. That being said, Vonderhaar thinks there’s still some work to be done when it comes to the final circle. According to him and others at Treyarch, he feels like the final circle moves in too fast and it’s essentially forcing players to fight the storm and not each other. In addition, he also teased the addition of a Coward’s Way Out feature, which would allow players to essentially skip over the “downed” phase and respawn immediately. While there’s no exact release date for the feature, he did say that it would be out ASAP.

Outside of Alcatraz, another feature that’s gotten a lot of attention ever since the game was released is the item stash UI. While it’s already been changed once, it seems like Vonderhaar wants to make one more tiny addition: a close button so that you don’t have to walk away or look away from the stash in order to get the UI off the screen. As someone who’s been constantly annoyed by the lack of this feature, I welcome this with open arms.

As previously mentioned, there’s no release date for these features, however, I expect that we should see them in the near future.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
