Cyberpunk 2077 — CD Projekt RED Announces Partnership with Digital Scapes on Tech for the Game

Today CD Projekt RED reached out with a press release announcing a partnership with Vancouver-based studio Digital Scapes.

The partnership is said to focus on the development of Cyberpunk 2077.

For those unfamiliar, Digital Scapes is a studio which focuses on AAA multiplayer console and PC game development, development tool creation, asset production, and cloud computing. It was founded by veterans of teams like BioWare, Radical Entertainment and Relic.

CD Projekt RED SVP of Business Development Michał Nowakowski accompanied the press release with a statement:

“Cyberpunk 2077 is our most ambitious project to date and we work hard every day to make it a creative and technological achievement. The Digital Scapes team brings aboard a lot of talent, experience and technical knowledge, and I’m very confident our long-term cooperation will add plenty to the game.”

Digital Scapes Studio Head Marcin Chady also delivered a comment:

“We are both excited and honoured to work with CD PROJEKT RED. Their incredibly creative and accomplished team of developers have been pushing narrative-driven, role-playing games to unprecedented levels. We look forward to helping them create the very best video games on the planet.”

Digital Scapes will work closely with CD Projekt to create and optimize technological solutions that will be used in the development of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 does not have a release date or even a launch window, but it has been announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can already pre-order the game on Amazon.
