We’ve seen the upgraded visuals, the kart and character customization, and the courses–now it’s time to take a look at some of the new gameplay modes in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. A new trailer from Activision showcases some of the modes we can look forward to seeing: adventure mode, battle mode, race with friends, and compete online.

Each mode is pretty self-explanatory, especially if you’ve already played them. Adventure mode takes you through the story and lets you experience all the different courses and bosses, battle mode pits you against your friends in a smaller arena with plenty of weapons, race with friends lets you split-screen with up to four friends, and compete online has you…well, compete online.

Adventure mode will feature one extra optional tweak. While you can choose to play it classically, the nitro-fueled setting will change things up a bit. Classic mode has you play as Crash Bandicoot with one kart on one difficulty the whole way through. Nitro-fueled mode allows you to switch up any of those things at any point, changes your HUD, lets you choose between three difficulty settings, and alters the look of fellow racers.

Despite these changes, there still seems to be plenty of familiar territory. You’ve got your Ripper Roo, your drifts around every corner, and your “woahs!”.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled releases for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 22.
