Crash Bandicoot is a classic game franchise from the PS1 era that that became a fan favorite. We’re in the age of remasters and remakes, so Vicarious Visions gave Cash Bandicoot a makeover and on June 30, 2017, released Crash N Sane Trilogy for PS4 before bringing it to PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later. This year, Beenox and Activision are following in that game’s foosteps with a CTR remake titled Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled.
Funko is now releasing a Funko Pop related to Nitro Fueled that’s available for pre-order right now, with shipping slated for July 2019, priced at $29.99. Unfortunately, you won’t have your POP in time for the release of Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, but you may still want Crash as a part of your collection.
Here’s the official description from Funko’s website, “If you’re feeling the need for speed join Crash Bandicoot in his efforts to prove he’s Earth’s fastest driver and protect the planet from the evil machinations of Nitros Oxide. This Pop! Ride features balanced acceleration and top speed and handling, which Crash is going to need if he drives to win.”
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2019, for $39. Many fan favorite characters will be back as well: Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Fake Crash, Doctor Neo Cortex, Dr. N Gin, and Komodo Joe, to name a few. I personally like Coco, so she’ll be my go-to racer when I pick up the game.
Nostalgic players are excited to get back to racing in this classic game that was competitive and fun. The original Crash Tream Racing game created some great memories for me as a kid, so I can’t wait to hop back in the driver seat with Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled and a Crash Funko POP! soon after.
