Bandai Namco may have recently delayed its Souls-like action-JRPG Code Vein, but the publisher is certainly not done with promoting the game. Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu included a brand new batch of screenshots and info for us to seek our teeth in.

We get to take a new look at Jack and Eva. An especially interesting screenshot portrays Eva suffering from blood thirst. On the other hand, Jack’s eyes shine of a pale light different from that of the Lost. His power is overwhelming, and he is rightfully feared by both revenant and lost alike.

We also get to see some of the special attacks that can be performed with bayonet and spear weapon types.

Last, but certainly not least, the screenshots introduce a brand new area called the Castle of Sand (the name may vary in the western localization). It’s an arid location without any greenery. Lost that have been buried alive in the sands are waiting to ambush the unsuspecting revenant exploring the ruins. It’s a danger zone where you have to pay attention not only to your surroundings but also to the ground under your feet.

You can enjoy the screenshots below, keeping in mind that we’re looking at magazine scans, so the quality is far from perfect. The game is set to launch in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you would like to pre-order the game despite the recent delay, you can do so on Amazon. You can also check out the latest gameplay from a couple of weeks agoa recent trailer, and the latest gallery of screenshots.
