As previously teased, today Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the release date of its upcoming Souls-like action-JRPG Code Vein.

The game will release in Japan on September 27th, 2018, for PS4 and Xbox One, and on September 28th on PC.

Alongside the release date, we also got a new trailer, which showcases several story cutscenes and more. As usual, it really looks fantastic.

At the moment, it remains to be seen whether the game will release in the west at the same time as Japan, or in a similar time frame. For most of its titles Bandai Namco Entertainment has been remarkably good at providing very close releases for all markets, so we’ll probably hear more about this soon from the North American and European branches.

It’s worth mentioning that the Steam release on September 28th does seem to hint to a western release date on the same day. It would stand to reason since releasing in the west one day after Japan has become almost a standard for Bandai Namco. Yet, we’ll need to wait for an official confirmation on this.

The trailer also shows a rich collector’s edition for Japan, including a figure portraying Mia Carnstein, the Code Vein World Report artbook, and the original soundtrack with 22 tracks. Pre-order bonuses include a God Eater weapon set and a PS4 theme.

You can check out the trailer below. if you want to see more,  You can also enjoy the latest gallery of images, another recent trailer and another batch of screenshots. Recently, we got an update on development and on the developers’ ambitions to grow the game into a franchise.

If you’re interested in Code Vein, you can pre-order it on Amazon.
