Capcom revealed its financials for the end of the most recent fiscal year just a few weeks ago and showed strong results off of the back of many games released within the past 12-months. As of now though, we now know just how well some of those games in question did for Capcom over the span of the fiscal year.

As seen on Capcom’s website, new shipping totals for many of the publisher’s recent releases were updated to provide the latest figures through March 31, 2019. Of the notable games that we can now see new numbers for, this year’s release of the Resident Evil 2 remake has already shipped 4.2 million copies worldwide across physical and digital. This number already makes Resident Evil 2 the 10th highest-sold game in Capcom’s history and the title only had about 2 months on the market to reach this goal.

Speaking of newer releases, Devil May Cry 5 also managed to ship 2.1 million units across all platforms. Even though this number is lower compared to RE2, it’s worth noting that DMC5 released extremely close to the end of Capcom’s fiscal year. This total will still likely climb a fair amount in the coming months and years but even then, it’s still nothing to scoff at right now.

Lastly, the most recent shipping figures for Monster Hunter: World have also been updated showing that 12.4 million units have now sold-in. We’ve known for quite some time that this total makes Monster Hunter: World the best-selling game in Capcom’s history, but it’s still a staggering number to see, nonetheless. With the release of Monster Hunter: World – Iceborne coming later this year, you’d have to imagine there’s still plenty of room for this total to keep climbing as well.

The bottom line is that Capcom continues to do incredibly well for itself, which is something we’ve already known for a few years now. With the publisher continuing to double down on its impressive RE Engine as we head into next gen, this success could be here to stay.
