A brand-spankin’ new Call of Duty Modern Warfare patch is now live bringing many changes to Activision and Infinity Ward’s popular shooter. Some of these new additions and fixes pertain to some hot topics, namely that one broken shotgun and claymores.

The 725 Shotgun, which has been a menace to all Call of Duty Modern Warfare players, has been nerfed. According to the patch notes, the shotgun now has increased ADS and Hip Spread; additionally, the damage range of the gun has been reduced. Finally, you won’t get sniped with a shotgun.

Claymores have also been nerfed in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Detonating a claymore by shooting it will now not kill you when you have full health. The trigger radius, damage radius, and damage width have also been reduced. Hopefully, that solves the rampant claymore issues in the game.

Announced yesterday, new maps and the returning multiplayer mode Hardpoint are coming thanks to the new patch update. Shoot House is a traditional map that will allow you to play modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Headquarters. Krovnik Farmland is the second map and is specially tailored for the large-scale Ground War mode. To celebrate the map release, the Shoot House 24/7 playlist is now available, allowing you to play the Shoot House map for… 24 hours and 7 days a week.

The patch also fixes a lot of general bugs and other issues pertaining to battle chatter, lighting, footsteps, other weapons, Ground War multiplayer mode, and much more. You can check out the full patch notes here if you want to get all the details. It does seem like Infinity Ward is listening to the community. Hopefully, they can continue this kind of support moving forward.
