It’s almost time for Call of Duty fans to jump into a giant map full of 79 other players and battle it out in one long match in the Blackout BetaTo prepare for the massive event, Treyarch has officially pushed out the patch for the previous beta so owners can get a head start.

The patch, which is around 12 GB, simply enables the Blackout portion of the beta and disables the normal multiplayer portion. Of course, the beta doesn’t go live until Monday, but this will allow players to get the download out of the way early so they don’t have to do it then.

In addition to the new portion, the patch also changes up the home screen and adds a new intro to the application, similar to the one found in Black Ops 1 and 2.

The past couple of days has been filled with Black Ops 4 news. Just yesterday the first trailer for Blackout was revealed and the day before that saw the map for the mode revealed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to be released on October 12, 2018, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If you want to pre-order the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
