Even though fans (at least on PlayStation 4) have just started sinking their teeth into Down But Not Out, we already know what the next limited-time mode will be for Blackout. Earlier today, developer Treyarch confirmed that a new mode called Ambush will be making its way to the game once Down But Not Out is gone.

According to the original leak that Treyarch subsequently confirmed, Ambush will task players with surviving in the battle royale mode with only sniper rifles and melee weapons. As of the time of this writing, it’s unknown if this includes grenades or other pieces of equipment as well.

While an exact date for the mode was not yet revealed, Treyarch did say that Ambush would essentially replace Down But Not Out on January 30, 2019, at least on PS4. If my calculations are right, that means that the mode would hit Xbox One and PC on February 6, 2019.

If all that sounds cool to you, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 can be purchased on Amazon.
