The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of Nintendo’s greatest titles with some of the best puzzles but one player has finally cracked the games most elusive one.

Zelda fans are still coming down from the high of E3 2021’s Breath of the Wild 2 trailer that showcased a sneak peek inside the Kingdom of Hyrule. Granted, players were only given a taste but it certainly stirred a lot of excitement within the BOTW community.

Even though the 2022 release window for the sequel seems like it’s out of our reach, for the time being, there’s an ‘Impossible Chest’ within the depths of Breath of the Wild that has escaped players grasps until now.

Buried deep underground at Aris Beach lies a chest that seemingly no other player has been able to get a hold of but four years after the title’s release, one dedicated explorer has managed to crack it open.

The so-called ‘Impossible Chest’ is the very last box that the BOTW community has tried to open and YouTuber Kleric has finally got through the difficult obstacles to claim what it holds inside. So how did they manage to get to it?

It’s not for the faint-hearted nor those who lack patience as when players get within 60 meters of it, it would begin to sink, disappear and then show up again 18 seconds later. Through a lot of work and dedication, Kleric managed to glitch their way 60 meters under the map and then by using a series of moves and techniques that included bombs and arrows, were able to open eventually unseal the chest.

You’d think that a chest this difficult to obtain would hide some serious loot but all that was inside was a piece of Amber which is a really common item to find within in the game. At the end of the day, it was really all about the fun of it, who could be the first to open the chest and to what extremes they will go.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch with a 2022 release window.
