Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed on his official Twitter account that fan-favorite Tiny Tina will be coming back to the upcoming Borderlands 3. In even better news, she will be voiced once again by Ashly Burch. This was in response to a fan’s inquiry, as they wondered if the voice actress would be reprising her role.

This reveal comes on the heels of the controversial news that Troy Baker will not be voicing Rhys in Borderlands 3. Pitchford confirmed this when asked, stating that the audio director told him Baker turned down the role.

Tiny Tina was first introduced as an NPC back in Borderlands 2 and latter starred in the fourth DLC Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. She also makes an appearance in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in which she makes conversation with Athena. Ashly Burch (her then and current voice) went on from Tiny Tina to voice Chloe Price in the Life is Strange series, Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn, and Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.

In recent news, Borderlands 3 will be supporting cross-platform co-op play according to the Xbox One store listing, although 2K Games did not confirm or deny this in their official statement: “Cross play is something we’re looking at closely, but don’t have anything to confirm or announce at this time.”

As for even more bizarre — but exciting — news, there’s a rumor straight from Tracy Marrow (aka Ice-T) himself that he may be voicing a character of his own in the game. He does have quite the background in video game voice acting so it’s certain possible that he was picked up for a role, and the official Borderlands Twitter didn’t exactly deny his claim either.

Borderlands 3 will launch worldwide on September 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store on PC.
