Fans have been eager to get their hands on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night since its original Kickstarter reveal back in 2015. Unfortunately, while it is scheduled to release this year, no specific date has yet to be given. Fortunately, though, that might finally change next month.

During a panel about Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night at SXSW today, the game’s producer Koji Igarashi discussed new details about the game and how it will play, but the question of the game’s final release date was still not answered. At the end of the panel though, we did learn about just when those details might arrive.

Igarashi’s translator stated near the panel’s conclusion that those awaiting news regarding Bloodstained’s release date should look for it in next month’s April Kickstarter update. She said, “There’s no date yet but we are going to discuss about that–discuss about the release date and our alpha backer demo–in our April Kickstarter update. So look forward to that!”

This doesn’t necessarily mean that we will learn the what the release date is in next month’s update but it should hopefully provide us with a window. Plus, more details about the alpha backer demo will surely be appreciated by those who supported the game during its money raising phase.
