In a recent tweet, Batman: Arkham Origins developer Warner Brothers Games Montreal asks fans to be patient for their next project.

“Thank you very much for the enthusiasm for our next project.,” says the developer. “At this time, our channel will showcase the studio: Who we are and why we love making games! So stay tuned!”

WB Games Montreal started teasing a Batman-related announcement back in September, with rumors suggesting the new game will center around the Court of Owls, a group of villains first introduced in Scott Snyder’s comic run on Batman in 2011. Back in October, it was rumored their next game would be called Batman: Arkham Legacy, which would let players take control of characters such as Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl among others. Fast forward to this January and WB Games Montreal starting teasing a new Batman project again. The image below has several symbols which lead back to the Court of Owls’ possible involvement.

Following the cancellation of E3 2020, it was rumored that WB Games were going to have a massive showing which included the reveals of a new Harry Potter game, Rocksteady’s new game, and the official reveal of WB Montreal’s next project. With new events such as Geoff Keighly’s Summer Game Fest, it’s possible we’ll see these announcements from WB Games and more as the game fest goes on.

WB Games Montreal’s last big title was Batman: Arkham Origins, which released in 2013 and was a prequel to Rocksteady Games’ Arkham trilogy. Following the release of Origins, Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, which was the last major Batman-focused title.
