Not much has been heard about Baja: Edge of Control’s PS4 and Xbox One remaster since its announcement back in March. The changed today though, as THQ Nordic released a new trailer for the game today that showcases its remastered visuals and reveals the release date of Baja: Edge of Control HD: September 14.

The developers put quite a bit of elbow grease into this remaster, as the game now includes overhauled textures, a higher framerate, and more densely detailed environments. Improved rendering techniques also make Baja: Edge of Control HD’s shadows, lighting, and dust effects more believable. The game’s controls and UI have also been tweaked a bit to make the game more friendly to newcomers.

For those who don’t know, Baja: Edge of Control is a racing game that was originally developed by 2XL Games and THQ, and released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September of 2008. THQ Nordic, known then as Nordic Games, was able to snag up the rights to Baja: Edge of Control alongside many of THQ’s other assets when that company went under. The game features deep customization options for players alongside four player split-screen and online multiplayer.

You can check out the new trailer below. Baja: Edge of Control HD is set to launch on PS4, and Xbox One September 14.
