Ever have over a million dollars in microtransactions dropped in your lap? Yeah, me neither. However… that’s not to say it doesn’t happen. An Apex Legends player is reporting he was gifted over 125 million Apex Coins. In case you are counting, that would be roughly $1.1 in EA and Respawn in-game currency.

News comes from Reddit user, who shared a screenshot where his Apex Coins currency is at the jaw-dropping count of 125,169,100:

Gifted 125m apex coins, what the fuck just happened? from r/apexlegends

According to the affected user, the credits simply “appeared as a gift” after finishing a game. This guy either carried a very very generous Bill Gates, or this is a system error that handed down in his favor.

Meanwhile, we did the math for you on how much this would be exactly. In the featured image above, you might note that the highest bundle of Apex Coins can be purchase at $99.99, netting a total of 11,500 in the microtransaction. Dividing the Coins by the price of the bundle, you get $1,088,318.11. And that would be a fairly large boost to the EA coffers, and would likely set the Reddit user for the life of the potentially ten-year game.

Of course, there is also the (more likely) case that this is an error with the system — something universally agreed on in the Reddit comment section. While the Reddit user is getting roasted for snitching on himself, a Respawn developer has already noted that they would have eyes on this type of error regardless:

Even if you haven’t been gifted a Scrooge McDuck goldmine of Apex Coins, it is hard to ignore the powerhouse that is Apex Legends. It appears that the genre’s biggest industry leaders is on the ropes, after Epic Games executives deleted their Tweet congratulating the team. Meanwhile, we are filled to the brim with feel-good stories about the game. Just look at the absolute legend, one-armed marine corps veteran who gets his first win on stream.

In case you missed it, Apex Legends by Respawn Entertainment is currently available as a free-to-play battle royale on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can check out some DualShockers gameplay in our video, below:
