If there’s any Animal Crossing character that could work his way up the Yakuza ladder, it’s Tom Nook. The raccoon is a shrewd business with an eye for profit. Not too unlike Yakuza 3‘s Yoshitaka Mine. His skills in real estate would have undoubtedly come in handy during the Empty Lot situation that took place during Yakuza 0. Fortunately, Reddit user askrnk_ has given us a great look at what a Tom Nook encounter would look like in the Yakuza world. Check it out below.

It’s a bit unsettling how easily Nook’s gimmick translates to Yakuza. When that trademark font fades in over Nook’s angered gaze, you know things are about to get real. Unfortunately, we don’t actually get to see Nook in action against Kiryu, but you can imagine it. If askrnk_ decides to follow this clip up, I would love to see what Nook’s back tattoo looks like. Presumably, it would have something to do with bells.

We’ve seen quite a few great Animal Crossing crossovers since the game released a few weeks ago. Of course, most of those have been with Doom: Eternal, the game that shares Animal Crossing‘s launch day. However, we’ve also seen a deeply disturbing Resident Evil 3 fan mod that stitches Isabelle’s head onto Jill Valentine’s body. Be sure to check out all the cool mash-ups we’ve collected on DualShockers.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch. The Yakuza series is available on several different platforms. If you’re interested in getting into the long-running series, we recently put together a starter guide. In short, newcomers would probably be best served in starting with Yakuza 0. The game is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It also recently Xbox Game Pass.
