Today, you can pre-order an adorable chibi-style 2B plush from Platinum Games’ hit action role-playing title, Nier: Automata.
If you pre-order the plush before November 2, you’ll be given a 10% discount. 2B is the android main protagonist of the game. She has accumulated quite the fan following since the title’s launch.
Nier: Automata launched earlier this year on February 23 in Japan and worldwide in March for PC and PS4. The game is the official sequel to the 2010’s Nier, which was a spin-off of the Drakengard series.
In September, the sequel reportedly had shipped over two million copies worldwide since its original launch date. In July the game had reached a milestone of 500,000 copies sold on Steam. The game was so successful, Platinum Games’ Co-Founder Hideki Kamiya went onto social media to personally thank the director of Nier: Automata, Yoko Taro, saying, “it’s not an exaggeration to say that PlatinumGames was saved by Yoko Taro.” Taro-san quickly responded to the praise the next day.
The characters and world of Nier: Automata have sort of become this wonderful anomaly in what is arguably one of the best years for games in a long while.
