Today Bandai Namco released a lot of interesting screenshots showcasing the PlayStation VR mode of its upcoming game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

The game includes three VR missions (the third is still unrevealed). There is also a hangar mode that let you check out your choosen plane from all directions.

Once you’re in the cockpit you can lock onto enemies simply by looking at them on your head mounted display,

Four planes are available in VR, the F/A-18 Hornet, the F-22 Raptor, and the Su-30 Flanker, plus one that has not been revealed yet.

A VR Air Show feature lets you watch an air show directly from the deck of your carrier.

The cockpits have been designed especially for virtual reality so that players can feel immersed. The MFDs (the screens on the dashboard) actually work, and even damage is displayed.

You can check out all the screenshots below. If you want to learn more, you can read about the pre-order bonuses and watch me play the seventh mission of the campaign. You can also check out a recent trailer showcasing the VR mode itself, the trailer that revealed the release date, and a previous trailer also focusing on the story. If you prefer more gameplay, you can enjoy a recent video, and one I recorded myself at Gamescom 2018.
