A Ton of Command & Conquer Games Just Hit Xbox One Backward Compatibility Today

News, Originals, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Do you like Command & Conquer games from the Xbox 360 era? Well, today is your lucky day.

Two major Command & Conquer games in that of Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3 are now playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility as of this moment. In addition, the expansions for each, Kane’s Wrath and Commander’s Challenge, have also joined the program. That’s a whole lot of strategy gaming right there.

This is good to see considering that Command & Conquer has largely been a dormant franchise over the past few years. While there is currently a new mobile game available called Rivals, it’s likely not what the hardcore C&C community was hoping for. Luckily, it has been confirmed that remasters of both the original game and Red Alert are coming, so that should give fans something to look forward to.

Until that time, at least these aforementioned games are now available on Xbox One. While I know a lot of strategy fans prefer not to play on consoles, it’s nice that the option is at least now available on current generation hardware.
