It is only fitting that the biggest game in the world receives its own themed console. WinFuture has reported that Microsoft will unveil a purple Fortnite edition of the Xbox One S sometime in the coming weeks.
The new console will come bundled with a new “Dark Vertex” skin and 2000 V-Bucks in-game currency. On top of that, it will come with a month of Xbox Live Gold, EA Access, and Xbox Game Pass.
There was not a clear date of when Microsoft is set to announce the new limited edition Xbox One S, but, it is rumored to be set at $300 with one TB of storage.
E3 is just a few weeks away now so if I was a betting man, I am sure we will at least hear something at the show or sometime before then.
Speaking of E3, Microsoft has made some mentions of going big at this year’s show, and I can see exactly why. Sony has pulled out of the show, so, this is Microsoft’s big opportunity to wow everyone with a memorable conference, and it seems like the first time in a while they will actually deliver. The last few years, maybe besides last years show, Microsft hasn’t really had much that just blows anyone’s mind, while Sony had about three years of absolute bangers to show. Now that the spotlight has shifted to Xbox, they have the new studios to back them up, a new streaming system that will allow us to play our Xbox games anywhere we go, and an incredible catalog of titles that continue to grow in Xbox Game Pass, I think we are set for a great show.
